i made a modified version of this recipe for lunch the other day and oh my goodness, there was party in my mouth.
Ingredients:
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 large handfuls of kale, washed and chopped
4 sun dried tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup feta cheese

recipe: healthy chocolate fudge pie

taking a rest day on my birthday....
which is unfortunate because i was looking forward to running today in ~celebration.
but i have an orgo exam on monday which means:
i’m pretty much not acknowledging my birthday anyways
i can’t do my long run on monday because i don’t want to be tired while taking the exam
so long run (9 miles!) is moved to tomorrow which means i better rest up today!

i ran it in 8:30. i really had no idea what to expect from myself but i’m kind of disappointed because i thought i’d have a lower time. but that’s just more motivation to keep working harder and improving my technique.

a. it’s FUCKING BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE HOLY SHIT. as much as my snowboarder self thinks this is appalling, my runner self is itching to get out there.

i could definitely feel the difference in my run...
monday (two days ago) i was coming off of two rest/cross training days (does snowboarding count as cross training?). yesterday i did bodypump. today i was definitely feeling the burn… it did not feel easy like monday’s run. i made it 7 miles in some amount of time that i don’t remember since my garmin is off, definitely slower than monday though.
