met with my school’s nutritionist today to talk about eating gluten free in the dining hall.
i got some really good advice and i think it’s going to be easier than i thought! i can ask for my food to be served from back-up bins so that i’m not risking cross-contamination from nearby foods with gluten. they also have a bunch of specialty gluten free items that i can request. i can call in early for my meals or even send them a week’s meal plan in advance and my food will be prepared for me to be ready when i get there. within a few days the dining hall employees will know me and i’ll be in the system for ~special dietary needs.
it sounds really convenient, especially since i already like to look up the dining hall menu and plan out what i want to eat in advance! gluten ain’t got nothing on me.
